In the series Tremblements, Nidhal Chamekh assembles a constellation of drawings on wire mesh in a composition that may not necessarily assimilate its elements; rather it is a research that disperses, scrutinizes and stitches suspended and ongoing histories altogether. In a montage that culls, recomposes and juxtaposes a crossroads of ancient and contemporary traces, he places in visual vicinity a hybrid of Greco-Roman sculptures and North-African imagery for instance.
