Selma Feriani Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition featuring works by Sara Ouhaddou, M'barek Bouhchichi, and Nadia Ayari at Art Basel 2025. This carefully curated presentation establishes a dialogue between three significant contemporary voices from North Africa, shifting regional heritage and symbolism from the peripheries to the centre through a shared artistic language. The exhibition combines both a research-driven approach and a profound exploration of material and aesthetics. Informed by their North African roots, these artists draw on historical thematic threads that move in conjunction with gestural idioms inherent to Moroccan and Tunisian backgrounds. Spanning ceramics, weaving, painting, and sculpture, the works bridge past and present both materially and conceptually through a reinterpretation of regional iconographies.
