Rituals of Fracture
Selma Feriani Gallery is pleased to present Rituals of Fracture, a curated project spotlighting contemporary Tunisian artistic expression, presented as part of the Art Basel Basel – Première Section. The exhibition brings together three distinctive practices, Monia Ben Hamouda, Mohamed Amine Hamouda, and Nidhal Chamekh; each exploring the poetics of fracture, both materially and conceptually.
Positioned between personal and collective histories, their works meditate on rifts and continuities through lenses of identity, ecology, and politics.
Across sculptural paintings, charged assemblages, and ecological interventions, Rituals of Fracture considers fracture as a tool for critical inquiry and creation, revealing its potential as a lens for understanding history, memory, and contemporary identity.
