Amina Saoudi Aït Khay

Amina Saoudi Aït Khay is introduced at a very early age to the art of traditional Moroccan weaving by her mother. After moving to Tunisia in the 80s, Saoudi Aït Khay experiments and develops a personal weaving technique that allows her to innovate by producing works that while being of contemporary invoice are in an obvious continuity of Maghrebian heritage revisited. She realizes original works where she goes beyond the decorative vocation of painting on silk and makes it a major art of expression.
