We are proud to announce Algerian-French artist Massinissa Selmani’s participation in The Kochi Biennale Foundation’s Kochi-Muziris Biennale. The edition, curated by Singaporean artist Shubigi Rao, brings together over 80 artists and collectives, and over 45 new commissions in Kochi, India. The 5th Edition titled 'In our Veins Flow Ink and Fire’ is open from the 12th of December, 2022 until the 10th of April, 2023.
"This edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale embodies the joy of experiencing practices of divergent sensibilities, under conditions both joyful and grim. There is optimism even in the darkest absurdity, and this is what leavens the direness of our time. It is in the robustness of humour that we can imagine the possibility of sustained kinship, and remember that we are not isolated in this fight. And that perhaps all that is required for an impossible ideal to exist is for enough people to live, think, and work as if it already does.”
